Met Breuer
The Met Breuer is a museum of modern and contemporary art at 945 Madison Avenue and East 75th Street in the Upper East Side of New York City
It is part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met). The Met Breuer opened in March 2016 in the building formerly occupied by the Whitney Museum of American Art, designed by Marcel Breuer and completed in 1966.[2] Its works come from the Met's collection and are both monographic and thematic exhibitions. The bold architecture of Marcel Breuer's landmark building on Madison Avenue at 75th Street provides a superb setting in which to experience art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Taking a global approach, The Met Breuer [BROY-er] presents modern and contemporary works by artists from around the world. Programs range from exhibitions and performances to artist commissions, residencies, and educational initiative.
